"THE GOODNESS OF GOD"
WOMEN'S RETREAT
POSTPONED - DATES TBD - LIKELY SPRING 2022
OKEECHOBEE, FLORIDA
This retreat is for the tired and the weary. For those who need to be reminded of God's goodness in a hard season. This retreat is designed to be a time of rest, restoration and encouragement for the women who attend. Throughout the retreat, stories of the goodness of God will be shared. We'll process the hard and remind one another of the good. Our goal is for each woman to leave the retreat filled up and encouraged in their walk with the Lord.
**Please make sure to scroll all the way down to FAQ for all the details.**
Overview: Our heart is to pour out the extravagant love of the Father so that each lady leaves feeling refreshed, nourished and restored. Those who attend will get to spend 3 nights at the beautiful Spacious Place ranch in Okeechobee, Florida. Our time together will include worship, prayer, fellowship time and meals with one another, teaching (scroll down to read about our guest speaker), pool time (weather permitting), time in nature, rest and much needed encouragement. All attendees will have a chance to serve.
About our Lodging: This retreat will host up to 12 women total at Spacious Place ranch in Okeechobee, Florida. This 5-bedroom ranch is on a large piece of land that overlooks a cow pasture, a pond, open fields as far as the eye can see and the beauty of the Florida sunrise and sunset. Depending on weather, there may be an opportunity to swim as there is a pool (unheated) on the property. Attendees will be sharing rooms. Each bedroom has multiple beds and its own bathroom. Photos of Spacious Place interior, exterior and bedrooms can be found HERE.
Retreat Begins: 5pm on Thursday (guests may arrive as early as 2pm but official retreat starts at 5pm)
Retreat Ends: 11am on Sunday.
Cost To Attend : $150 per person based on rooming with 1 or 2 others. RNR will fundraise for the rest (actual cost is closer to $350+ per person). This cost includes 3-nights lodging, meals, snacks, and beverages. Once you are notified that a spot is available, full payment will be due up front to secure your spot.
We are in need of sponsors and donors to help make this retreat possible: Learn more on our Sponsorship page HERE. We also have a need for gift bags items. If you'd like to donate items or host a Pour Out Party, let us know.
Serve: All attendees will have the opportunity to serve. Some will have roles such as worship leader, counselor, massage therapist or guest speaker. All of us will take turns helping prepare meals and assisting in clean up. All of us will have the opportunity to pray for and encourage one another. We'll have a schedule for meal preparation and cleanup during the retreat. At this time, we have a specific need for a worship leader or someone who can play guitar or keys as our founder can lead worship if she has music accompaniment and a counselor.
Donations: All donations (including retreat cost) are tax deductible and non refundable. If RNR has to reschedule a retreat, all funds will be transferable to a future retreat.
RETREAT APPLICATION - we will notify you if a spot is available. Please do not begin fundraising or making travel plans until you hear from us that a spot is indeed available.
**OTHER DETAILS AND FAQ ABOUT THIS RETREAT:
Retreat Location: Spacious Place Ranch in Okeechobee, Florida
Meals provided: Dinner Thursday; Breakfast, lunch and dinner plus snacks on Friday and Saturday; Breakfast on Sunday.
Closest airports: We highly recommend Southwest Airlines as they allow changes and full credits for future use should any changes need to be made (see hurricane info below). Airport Options include: Palm Beach (1-1.5 hr), Orlando (1.5 hr and likely the cheapest option), Fort Myers (2 hr), Sarasota (2 hr), or Tampa (2.5 hr)
Hurricane season: Fall is hurricane season in Florida. Funds raised are tax deductible and not refundable but if we were to have to cancel the retreat due to an impending hurricane, we would transfer all funds to a future retreat at a later date.
Transportation: Guests will be responsible for their own transportation getting to the retreat. We are happy to connect you with other guests so that you can coordinate ride sharing but we are unable to provide transporation or airport pickups.
Allergies and food restrictions: We are going to do our very best to accommodate any eating restrictions or allergies. There is a spot on the application to list these restrictions.
COVID-19: Our group of approx. 12 will be sharing this 5-bedroom ranch house, praying together, eating meals together, having group processing sessions, and so on. Every person will have their own bed but guests will be sharing bedrooms and bathrooms with others. There is a lot of space but we'll still be in close proximity being that we are all sharing a house. For this reason, social distancing within our group would be very difficult. We do not plan to require masks at the ranch but if anyone wants to wear a mask, they are of course welcome to do so. Our goal is to be as safe as possible but also to provide an environment that allows for attendees to be ministered to, prayed over, etc. We recognize that the setup of this retreat might not be ideal for some so we want to be as up front about all of this as possible so that you can make an informed choice about whether you will attend or not.
