ADOPTIVE & FOSTER MOM RETREAT
OCTOBER 14-17, 2021
Adoptive and foster moms need refreshing. It is our heart to offer them rest and restoration. We will do this through worship, prayer, fellowship time with other adoptive & foster moms, counseling, teaching, pool time (weather permitting), time in nature, rest and much needed encouragement. This particular retreat will welcome adoptive & foster moms for 3 nights at Spacious Place in Okeechobee, Florida.
**Please make sure to scroll all the way down to FAQ for more details.**
ABOUT: This retreat will host adoptive & foster moms plus female volunteers at Spacious Place ranch in Okeechobee, Florida. This 5-bedroom ranch is on a large piece of land that overlooks a cow pasture, a pond, open fields as far as the eye can see and the beauty of the Florida sunrise and sunset. Depending on weather, there may be an opportunity to swim as there is a pool (unheated) on the property. Attendees will be sharing rooms. Each bedroom has multiple beds and its own bathroom. Volunteers will be staying on-site as well. This retreat will include opportunities for worship, prayer, fellowship, counseling services, and time to process with other adoptive and foster moms. Our heart is to pour out the extravagant love of the Father on each attendee so that you leave feeling refreshed, nourished and restored.
COVID-19: Our group of approx. 12 (adoptive/foster moms and volunteers) will be sharing this 5-bedroom ranch house, praying together, eating meals together, having group processing sessions, and so on. For this reason, social distancing within our group would be very difficult. We do not plan to wear masks at the ranch but of course if anyone wants to do so, they are welcome to wear one at any time. We recognize that this might not be ideal for some people so we want to be as up front about this as possible so that you can make an informed choice about whether you will attend or not. Our goal is to be as safe as possible but also to provide an environment that allows for attendees to be ministered to, prayed over, etc. Depending on the status of Covid by fall, we may ask that attendees and volunteers take a COVID test a few days before coming to the retreat so that each person has test results back before traveling to the retreat. We will continue to monitor the situation between now and then.
Retreat Begins: 5pm on Thursday, October 14th (guests may arrive as early as 2pm but official retreat starts at 5pm)
Retreat Ends: 11am on Sunday, October 17th.
Adoptive/Foster Mom Cost To Attend : $225 each based on rooming with 1 or 2 others. RNR will fundraise for the rest (actual cost is closer to $550 per person). We welcome attendees to reach out to your churches or networks to ask if others would like to sponsor you. If others want to contribute to your total cost, we can provide a donate link and it will be tax deductible for your donors. Our heart is to keep costs as low as possible for those who attend our retreats. A $50 deposit will be due within 7 days to secure your spot (once we notify you that a spot is available). You will have 30 days to contribute or raise the remaining balance. All donations (including deposit) are tax deductible and non refundable.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: July 1, 2021 (although it may fill up before that)
SPOTS AVAILABLE: 6 adoptive/foster mom spots available!
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED: We have 6 volunteer spots available. We are in need of volunteers to serve in the following roles: counselor, massage therapist, preparing meals (2 needed), guest speaker and worship leader. There is a $50 cost for volunteers to secure your spot and volunteers will need to cover their own travel/transportation to get here. Once at the retreat, all of your meals and lodging will be provided. We are fundraising to cover a majority of the cost in order to keep cost low for attendees and volunteers. If you would like to make a tax-deductible donation over and above the $50, we would of course welcome that but there is no obligation. Your time and service is worth so much to us! We literally could not execute these retreats without our amazing volunteers. We try to leave plenty of time for our volunteers to rest and recharge. We want you to be restored right alongside our retreat attendees! While RNR is unable to pay volunteers, we hope that volunteers will be encouraged by the eternal investment in those they are serving. Many think of this as a domestic mission trip and travel from all over the US to come and pour into retreat attendees in Jesus' name! We are so grateful! If you are interested in volunteers in one of the above listed areas, please fill out the volunteer application below. We'll reach out to you once we receive it. Our Executive Director may even set up a call with you to learn more and make sure it's a great fit for you and our retreat needs! Thank you!
VOLUNTEER APPLICATION - we will notify you if a spot is available to serve at this retreat. Please do not begin making travel plans until you hear from us that a spot is available.
ADOPTIVE & FOSTER MOM APPLICATION - we will notify you if a spot is available. Please do not begin fundraising or making travel plans until you hear from us that a spot is available.
