WHAT IS A "POUR OUT PARTY"? 

A "Pour Out Party" is a gathering (in-person or virtually) where you and your friends fill gift bags full of goodies for RNR guests attending one of our upcoming retreats. You pour out at the party (your time, your prayers, your resources) and in doing so, it pours into the attendees at our retreats. This is a great way to be a blessing and make each retreat attendee feel loved. Once you agree to host a party, we'll send you a suggested list of items and some details about who will receive them. 

WHAT IS INVOLVED WITH DOING THESE GIFT BAGS?

You will be sent a list of items to provide for 12-17 retreat attendees. You and your party guests will purchase the items and the gift bags, organize and put the items into the gift bags, decorate the gift bags (optional), add homemade cards or notes (optional) and cover shipping costs to mail the finished bags full of goodies to Restoration Nation Retreat (if you're local, no shipping will be needed). We'll give the bags to each attendee at our upcoming retreat. If you do a virtual party, you can simply ship the items to RNR and we'll assemble the bags. 

WHERE DO I HOST A "POUR OUT PARTY"?

You can host it virtually or in-person. If you are hosting your party in-person, this can be at your home, your church, a park, or really anyplace you prefer. We recommend choosing a place where you'll have room to spread out as you'll be organizing collected items, decorating and stuffing gift bags, handwriting cards, etc. If you are hosting your party virtually, we will give you ideas on how to facilitate this.

WHAT DO WE DO AT THE ACTUAL PARTY?

Once the party date arrives, have guests come and help you decorate gift bags, fill them with the goodies that were gathered and write notes for each attendee. When possible, we'll be sending you a list of attendees and a little bit about each person so the party is a great time to read those to your guests and pray over each person you're creating a bag for.

WHAT KINDS OF ITEMS WILL WE BE GATHERING?

All of the items will be small enough to fit into a small gift bag (recommended size 8x4.25x10.5 and small enough to travel home with attendees who might be flying) that we will have waiting for each guest when they arrive at one of our retreats. These items can be things like homemade gifts, note cards, sunscreen, chapstick, a journal, a nice pen, socks/slippers, kleenex packs, t-shirt, cosmetics, jewelry, toiletry items, gift cards, etc. We'll send you a list of ideas for the retreat guests you'll be gathering gifts for. Each retreat will be slightly different depending on who we are hosting. 

CAN WE PUT OTHER ITEMS IN THE GIFT BAGS BEYOND THE ITEMS ON THE LIST RNR SENDS ME?

We will send you a list of suggested gift ideas to put in the bags but we would absolutely welcome you adding additional items to bless these ladies. Get as creative as you'd like. Keep in mind that most retreat attendees are flying in for the retreat so we need to keep items small and travel size. If you're not sure if the item you're thinking of adding is a good idea, just reach out to us and we can chat about it.

WHAT IS THE BEST AND MOST COST EFFECTIVE WAY TO GATHER ITEMS?

One of the easiest ways to gather the items is to create an amazon wish list. We'll help you do that if you want to create an amazon wish list. We recommend you have all of the items set up to be delivered to the host address or to RNR if there is a short time frame before the retreat itself. By doing an online wish list, guests can choose which item(s) they want to purchase and what dollar amount they want to spend. An online list also helps you easily track what is still needed and what has already been purchased. Friends and family who can't come to the actual party can purchase items off the wish list too. Make sure to plan ahead and give your guests plenty of time to purchase items so they can be sent to you before your actual party date. If you're doing a virtual party, we recommend you have the items sent to RNR directly. We are happy to assemble the bags for you. 

HOW MANY ATTENDEES WILL A "POUR OUT PARTY" BE RESPONSIBLE FOR? 

Each party will be responsible for gathering items to fill gift bags for 12-17 retreat attendees. 

ONCE OUR BAGS ARE ASSEMBLED FOR ALL THE GUESTS, HOW DO WE GET THEM TO RNR? 

You'll want to ship the bags to our mailing address. To cover shipping costs, we recommend hosts ask each guest that comes to the party to contribute a few dollars toward this so the host doesn't have to cover the whole amount (unless they want to). If you can fit everything into one box, that would be great. If not, pack it however it works best for you. If you determine it's easier to ship with the bags not assembled - that's fine with us. We are happy to assemble the bags. We don't anticipate the total cost being more than $30 to ship it, especially since we're keeping it at 15 attendees max and doing small and mostly lightweight items. If you're local and can drop the items off - no shipping needed!
