"One of the most profound things the Lord showed me was that even when I feel like I'm not particularly qualified, God can still use my story to encourage and speak to others. I was feeling inadequate and the Lord encouraged me through several people that said my story or the feet washing and prayers during that really spoke to them. "I came with an open heart to the Lord. Just wanted to sit at his feet and listen to his heart. Being at this spacious retreat haven, being with like minded women of God, and being a part of the worship, teaching, praying and caring was just beyond my expectations. God says to "Taste the goodness of the Lord" and I did!! I believe we all made an effort to draw near to God, and he drew near to us. "I felt like I have had my head down, just going through the motions lately and I didn’t even realize it. I felt the Lord speak to me at the retreat- I pictured him lifting my chin up so I could look into his eyes and he said “Look up my child” as he looked at me with nothing but love in his eyes. The Goodness of God was proclaimed throughout the whole weekend and I think we all needed that reminder. I think something that was done really well was allowing the Spirit to move and not be super rigid about the schedule."

"This retreat was one of the highlights of my year. Because of COVID, I was struggling with a lot of grief and depression. I didn't have many opportunities to see friends, our whole family was together all the time, and it was hard to deal with so much uncertainty for so long. I felt invisible and disconnected. At the retreat, I listened to the stories of the other missionary ladies and couldn't believe how similar they were to my own! I felt an immediate sense of solidarity with all of the ladies there. It was really encouraging to hear about what God has been doing in people's lives in the midst of this chaos. God used the times when we prayed for one another to rebirth hope in my heart. The retreat was refreshing both physically and spiritually. I felt so cared for and pampered! I couldn't have planned a better retreat!"

"This Restoration Retreat is the single most refreshing and soul rejuvenating weekend I have had since I answered the call to go overseas, 12 years ago!! It was a divinely sweet time with sisters in Christ who simply understood each other and the hard things without having to give all the background. That is hard to come by! It was also a safe place to be transparent, raw, and broken. There were no supporters or supervisors, and none of those that look to us to be the example - no shame or judgement. And THAT space allowed us to process, share, receive, and heal some of the deep hurts. It helped us to find the freedom and courage to seek Father's healing in the dark corners of our hearts that we often shield, bury, or simply hide from view in order to carry out our work in steadfast faithfulness. We didn't have to be strong for anyone, so we allowed others to pray for us & God worked miracles and spoke healing words of life to us through our sisters! This was a priceless time with God!"

"Restoration Nation has been a true gift in my journey as a missionary. It allowed undivided, uninterrupted "spaces" to seek the Lord and sit at the feet of Jesus, which allowed my heart, soul, and mind to be healed and fully refreshed. The Lord met our group, each person, in that space and brought healing and nourishment to what sometimes seems like a lonely, and difficult journey. The like minded women I met at the retreat are "real" women who are greatly desiring to see Jesus work in their lives and the lives of others. Those friendships will last a lifetime. I feel like I have met "my" people, women from around the United States who have also traveled the road of a missionary wife and mother. I am truly thankful for this opportunity to be still, be loved on and renewed by the Lord and your staff/volunteers. I will be forever grateful!"
